Constructed between 1095 and 1110, Norwich Castle has played a central role in the city for nearly a millennium. Now the focus of an ambitious multimillion-pound restoration project, the castle is open for visitors once again.
Described by the architect as the only Norman castle in the world to have a roof terrace, Buzon are proud to have installed 250 sq. metres of BROOF(t4)-certified system, featuring 20mm porcelain tiles with Buzon PB polypropylene pedestals on top of Bauder products.
U-PH5 slope corrector accessories were used underneath the pedestals to correct any falls, the resulting raised floor allows cables and other services to run underneath. ALUrail joists were utilised in areas where awkward shapes needed to be accommodated, particularly around the maintenance area.
Other accessories were used to ensure a perfect finish, such as U-EDGE and U-WALL. And for complete assurance against wind uplift, A-FIX-WIND-SAFE was used to bond the tiles to the pedestals and rails.
